Why should you neuter your pet?

Neutering your pet is one of the most important decisions you can make for them. It is part of being a responsible pet owner and in addition there are several benefits of neutering.

• Your female pet is more likely to live a longer, healthier life. She also cannot develop uterine infections and it reduces her risk of mammary cancer. She will not have a season or any behaviours associated with this.

​

• Your neutered male may be better behaved such as not marking their territory by urine spraying. Many aggression problems can be avoided by early neutering. There are health benefits such as preventing testicular cancer and reducing the risk of prostate problems. 

​

• Spaying or neutering will NOT make your pet overweight with good diet management and appropriate exercise.

​

• Spaying and neutering helps fight pet overpopulation
