Their initial vaccination course is an important part of giving them a healthy start and protecting them as they grow.
Our team will guide you through your kitten’s vaccination schedule and explain when their next vaccination is due.
After bringing your kitten home, it is important that they take a few days to settle in to family life before they have their vaccinations. They must be at least 9 weeks before they have the first vaccine, and then require a second part 3 or 4 weeks later to be fully covered.
Your kitten’s appointment is also the perfect opportunity to ask questions about their wider healthcare.

A booster appointment is also a useful opportunity to discuss your cat’s general health and any changes you may have noticed at home. Cats can be very good at hiding signs that something isn’t quite right, so regular contact with your veterinary team can be an important part of looking after their long-term wellbeing.
Do Indoor Cats Need Vaccinations?
This is something we’re often asked.
It can be easy to assume that an indoor cat doesn’t need vaccination because they have less contact with other animals. However, being indoors doesn’t necessarily remove every risk.
Rather than applying the same approach to every cat, we’ll discuss your cat’s individual circumstances and advise you on the vaccinations that are appropriate for them.
